MICHAEL GEORGE: What I've found in my practice is that most medical malpractice cases arise in the context of a failure to diagnosis, where a doctor or a nurse failed to act on important signs and symptoms until it was too late.
For instance, in a cancer case where a breast lump has been allowed to grow and grow to the point where an early cancer has now become a late stage cancer. In a situation involving chest pains where a patient has promptly reported to an emergency room but the proper tests weren't done and a heart attack was not diagnosed.

MICHAEL GEORGE: The patient was discharged and later died at home. These all arise in the context of failure to diagnose. I've handled a lot of these cases and I'd be happy to discuss any of these questions that you would have regarding these types of cases.
