MICHAEL GEORGE: Hi. I'm Mike George. Thanks for visiting my website. I've been practicing since 1985. I represent people who have been injured through no fault of their own. I represent them in varying situations, whether they be medical malpractice cases, auto accidents, products liability or even a slip and fall.
I had the fortune of growing up with a father who was a physician. He's now a retied anesthesiologist. And he did a process as part of his practice called peer review and that's the process by which doctors evaluate the care that's rendered to patients. And he would come home with some really horrible stories about what had happened to innocent patients while hospitalized.
And from that early date I realized that while doctors do the best they can, many times they make errors. And when they make errors, the consequences to the patients are devastating. And that's where the focus of my practice is, in helping people who have been severely injured through no fault of their own.
I've handled cases all over western Pennsylvania, so I'm well versed in handling cases both in the big city and the many rural counties surrounding Alleghany County.
Now there are a lot of lawyers out there advertising. Not many of them actually try cases successfully to verdict. The defendant, whether it be a hospital or an insurance company, is not going to compensate you the amount that's fair and reasonable and what you need unless they know your lawyer has the experience to prepare the case properly and to take the case to trial and to win.
